SMS Balance from your Mobile Phone
Sending the SMS “BAL XXXX” from your registered mobile (where XXXX is the last four digits of your SmartCard number) to 0427 120 202 and we will send you an SMS with the amount of money you have in your account. This is a 24 hour/7 days a week service.
Balance enquiries from ATMs
Obtaining a free balance enquiry from any one of the following ATMs:
- any TCU ATM;
- any Commonwealth, Westpac, NAB, ANZ; and
- any other ATM in Australia that does not charge a fee for balance enquiries.

Calling 1800 828 232 (freecall) and following the prompts to hear your available balance. This is a 24 hour/7 days a week service.

Your SmartCard VISA Debit Card
Use your SmartCard for purchases at most Merchants that have eftpos and use it online to make purchases over the Internet.
Some merchants are blocked if their primary business is providing alcohol or gambling products.
We have Branches across most of the Top End of the Territory.
